Kalakand A cottage cheese based sweet, a hot traditional festive favourite
INGREDIENTS

Paneer 500 gms/ ½ kg.
Condensed milk 1 tin
Milk powder 2 teaspoon.
Silver warq 1 no.
Elaichi powder ½ teaspoon.
Pistachios 4-5 ( for garnish)

METHOD

  1.  Mash the paneer coarsely and add in the milk powder, add the condensed milk to it and mix all well.
  2. Heat this mixture in a thick bottomed pan, cook on a medium heat with constant stirring until the mixture gets thick approx (9-10 min)
  3. Remove from fire, spread onto a greased / oiled thali and sprinkle elaichi powder.
  4. Top up with silver warq and chopped / silvered pistachios.
  5. Cool, cut out into squares and serve.
