The
'not to forget' all time hit Gulab Jamuns with a twist |
INGREDIENTS
Milk 1 litre.
Maida 150 gms
Sugar 500 gms.
Ghee 200 gms.
Rice powdered ½ teaspoon.
Baking soda ½ teaspoon
Elaichi powder ½ teaspoon
Rose essence a few drops. |
METHOD

Heat
the milk in a thick bottomed pan until it gets thick, mix soda,
maida and 1 teaspoon full of ghee.Knead all this well and make
small balls out of this mixture.

Mix
equal quantities of sugar and water and boil for approx 8 mins,
add the essence, and elaichi powder.

Heat
ghee, fry the prepared balls on a low flame, until they turn
golden brown. Remove and immediately put them into the sugar
syrup and let it soak up the flavour for approx 8-10 minutes.

Leave
in the syrup until served. Serve warm.
