Sooji Jo Seero :
SOOJI JO SEERO A ceremonial preparation in Sindhi homes, a senolina -n- wheat flour sweet dish

INGREDIENTS:

Atta : 3-4 tbsp
Sooji : 1 & 1/4 cup
Sugar : 1 & 1/2 cup
Elaichi : 4-6 nos (powdered)
Ghee : 3/4 cup
Badam : 10-12 nos sliced
Water : 2-2 & 1/2 cups
Saffron : few strands soaked in milk

METHOD

  1. Heat the ghee in a thick bottomed pan and fry the semolina, also add in the atta, cook on a very low flame till it leaves a healthy aroma.
  2. Boil the sugar in the water with elaichi powder add this syrup to the sooji mixture and stirring continously sook the seera.
  3. Cover and simmer for 8-10 mins. serve hot garnished with sliced badam and strands of saffron. Serve warm!
