INGREDIENTS:
Rice - 2 cups
Tomatoes - 4 nos medium sized or puree - 1 cup
Onions - 1 large
Garlic - 6-8 cloves
Pepper corns - 4-5 nos
Cloves - 2-3 nos
Salt - to taste
Oil - 2 tbsp
Water - 4 cups
Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp chopped
Curry leaves - 8-10 nos

METHOD
- Pick, wash
and soak the rice for 1 hour.
- Heat oil
in a pan, fry the chopped garlic and sliced onions. fry untill
pinkish to light browned.
- Add cloves,
pepper corns and tomato puree/chopped. Fry well add the rice and
salt bhunao well, add water and let it boil.
- Simmer and
cover and cook until done. Finally temper with some curry leaves
and serve hot!
NB : One can
also add in the tomato puree towards the end when the rice is almost
done.
Also add masalas of your choive to variate! |
