INGREDIENTS:
Split Masoor dal - 1/2 cup
Lime - 1 no
Tomato - 1 no
Curry leaves - 8-10 nos
Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp chopped
For
Tadka :
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Jeera - 1/2 tsp
Red chillies - 3-4 nos (slit)
Hing - a pinch
Oil - 1 tsp
Salt - to taste
Green chillies - 2-3 nos (slit)

METHOD
- Pick, wash
and soak the dal in water for 1/2 hour, boil it till tender; and
drain all the water.
- Chop the
tomatoes and slit the chillies, add them to the drained liquid.
- To temper
the Rasam, heat oil in a pan, add hing, curry leaves, mustard,
jeera seeds, red chillies and splutter well.
- Add this
to the prepared Rasam.
- Add salt
to taste and boil for 5-6 mins.
- Remove from
heat add lime juice and serve hot!
