FROM THE TALLEST TWIN TOWERS.
A poetry contribution from Raj Daswani

I was there, with many sons of many mothers,
Communicating with many mums saying,
Mum we may not see you here after.

I was there, with many fathers of many kids,
Phoning their dear ones, it is good-bye for now,
You are on your own my kids.

I was there, with many dears of many darlings,
Sobbing and saying, darling I may not make it tonight,
Take care of the kith and kin.

I was there with damsels next to me,
Longing for a warm hug whoever can give,
Showing the last wish of love for all.

I was there, I am there, and I will be there,
Along with mums, along with dads,
Yes along with all who were in love.

I was there, I am there, and I will be there,
To fight the fear, to save the smile,
On every face on this planet, white, brown or black.

Cast, creed or culture will have no meaning to me,
I have to change the life to live without fears,
I have to live with a changed life in peace and cheers.
