At the outset, my profound and sincere apologies for the absence of 'Prerna' in March, April and May. Maybe it was lack of inspiration ! Of course I mean that jokingly, and it will be a sincere endeavour of the Sindhishaan team to ensure you receive 'Prerna' regularly.

Volume I, Issue 3 April - June 2002 of Sindhishaan has been mailed to our subscribers in the last fortnight. For the cover feature on Sindhiat, we received a vast contribution from the littérateur fraternity, leaders, philanthropists and stalwarts from the community. What they have to say is truly an eye opener and food for thought.

We are carrying the contribution received from the renowned Sindhi littérateur and member of Post Partition Trinity of Sindhi literature - Shri Kirat Babani in 'Prerna'. We are also carrying a satirical but thought provoking article "The Discovery of India" by Shri Kirat Babani' son - Shri Arun Babani, a prolific writer in Sindhi and English in his own right.

We would also like to inform our members that the next issue is dedicated to Sadhu Vaswani Mission in celebration of the 83rd birthday of Dada J.P. Vaswani on 2nd August 2002. Members are welcome to send us any relevant material or message for this issue.

Another bit of good news that I would like to share with you is that Sindhishaan has received clearance from Doordarshan for the telecast of 13 episodes in Sindhi on the Sahyadri Channel at 10.30 p.m. every Sunday from 14 July 2002. So watch out for details and spread the good news - the Shaan of Sindhis is now to be televised.
